Indonesia’s largest mobile carrier, Telkomsel, has called a multi-agency pitch in Jakarta. The company is seeking three new agencies: a strategic brand lead, a creative production agency and a digital and content agency. R3 is handling the pitch. 

Leo Burnett and Hakuhodo are Telkomsel’s incumbent creative agencies, while Narrada currently handles digital. The pitch is a procurement requirement, as the incumbents’ contracts cannot be further extended. 

Nirwan Lesmana, Telkomsel vice president of brand and communication, said the brand wants to bolster its position as a leader in the mobile digital space. “We are eager to have external marketing partners who are broad-minded, strong on consumer insights, who have the ability to elevate Telkomsel brand strategy that is in line with Telkomsel goals, market dynamic and challenges in the coming years,“ Lesmana added.
